Phillip Campbell has the role of Air Systems Manager for Project Echidna at BAE Systems. The presentation will provide insight into the current progress in developing advanced self protection for Chinook and Black Hawk helicopters.

At the ATTP held at Bagot Street on Tuesday 24th October, the First Prize winner was Michael Ritchie, of the University of Adelaide, with his paper Hardware Implementation of a Reed-Solomon decoder for Ultra-wideband Transceivers. Michael received a cheque for $400 and will represent SA in the Australian National Competition to be held in Brisbane in March 2007.
Second place getter was Brian Playford, also of the University of Adelaide, with his paper: Camera and Microphone Control via a Phone Connection. Brian received a cheque for $200.
There were 2 equal third prizes, reflecting the high standard of entries and the difficult task facing the judging panel: Miriam Margaret Whitten of Flinders University presented her paper: Mandibular Advancement Splint Compliance Monitor.
Nicholas John Cox of the University of South Australia shared third place with his paper: Co-channel Speaker and its integration with Transcription Services within a Military Environment.
Both Third Place entrants received a cheque for $100. Prizes were presented at the completion of Judging by SANTB Chairman Andrew Russack. Certificates and medallions will be presented to all 6 entrants at a technical evening in 2007, and the University of Adelaide will receive a framed Certificate for spawning the winning entrant.
