The countermeasures development and validation (CMD&V) process has been established to protect Australian military aircraft against missile attack through the use of airborne electronic warfare self-protection (EWSP). The presentation will describe the development and implementation of CMD&V, the lessons learnt from its first two years of operation, and key elements of the process that have proven to be fundamental to its successful implementation.

Mock Interviews
Have you ever wondered what the HR person was thinking when they rejected you?
Do you ever wonder what the interviewer is thinking when there is that awkward silence?
How would you like the opportunity to sit a Mock Interview with an experienced interviewing panel, involving a Senior Engineering Manager and HR staff, then receive full feedback, and suggestions on how to improve your interview skills?

A much anticipated event for our younger members, the 2008 Ale Appreciation Tour, organised by engineering students at UniSA.
When: Friday 16th 23rd May, 7pm onwards
Where: Starting at P.J. O’Briens, click to enlarge shirt below for details. Note that Church Nightclub has unfortunately closed down, and that the alternate venue will be announced on the night (or before).
Who: Everyone of course! Including your friends, or just make some on the night.
Cost: Approximately $10 for t-shirt, available at UniSA by contacting Kosta or by attending one of the UniSA engineering BBQ’s.

The Richards Premium Prize is named after IEE Member Maurice Evans Richards (1910-1997) who, with his wife, died tragically in a motor car accident.
Am I eligible?
- Younger members of SA & NT IET
- Less than 30 years of age at 31st March in the year of entry to the competition.
What do I have to do?
- Write a paper of 3500 words on an engineering topic, could be design project you have worked on
- Has to be solely written by the entrant, with team contributions acknowledged
- 2008 entries close on Friday 6 June 2008. This is the extended deadline, and no further extensions will occur.
How is it judged?
- A panel of IET committee members will be appointed to assess the papers and determine the winner.
So what is the PRIZE?
The Winner of the Richards Premium Prize will receive:
- A Cheque for $250.00
- Framed IEE Certificate
- Inscribed IEE Medallion.
