This Regional Forum has been created to examine and discuss the latest local and international practices and standards in electrical safety, switchgear & power cables, remote and emergency power with a focus on the engineering environment of the Northern Territory. IDC Conferences offer speakers and delegates an interactive learning experience in addition to valuable networking opportunities with industry professionals. All speakers receive free attendance to the event giving them a chance to discuss new technologies and developments with their peers.

As an Electrical Engineering Professional, do you work with or are you interested in Electrical Safety, Switchgear and Cables and Emergency and Remote Power Supplies? IDC is looking for a number of presenters to submit an abstract and present their papers on the following subjects:

There are three themes in this forum with a focus on good practice relevant to the Northern Territory:

  • Electrical Safety – Safe theory & practice, earthing and bonding, standards & regulations, auditing techniques
  • Switchgear and Cables – Installation, commissioning, joint & terminations, arc flash hazards
  • Emergency and Remote Power Supplies – Batteries, UPS’s, renewable energy, ensuring high reliability

We are particularly looking for case studies and state of the art practical applications of electrical engineering with the focus on regional Northern Territory environment.
