This page explains what you need to know about becoming a member of the SA & NT branch of the IET.
Please note, the login system for this website is not at all related to the login system of http://theiet.org where you access the full range of member benefits. The login system for this website (located in the top right corner) exists for members and non-members alike to become a “Subscriber” so you can receive various email notifications specific to our branch. Once you become a member, you are invited to send the YMS Secretary your membership number so your login can be upgraded to “Member Subscriber”, which may be used to give you priority notice for events where numbers are restricted (i.e. site visits).
There are two options you can take to become a member:
- Complete all sections of either the student or member application form. Not sure which form to fill out? Then check out the category requirements on the main IET site.
Membership for students is $30 per year, $60 for 3 years, or $75 for 5 years.
Payment can be made by cash or cheque (written out to the IET). You can contact Olivia for further information regarding membership.
- If licking stamps isn’t your thing, you could alternatively use the online application. Paying by cash or cheque is more convenient for some people in the SA & NT Branch whilst for others, paying online is quick and easy. It comes down to your personal preference.
